The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within drivers/cpufreq/qcom-cpufreq-hw.c in Linux kernel. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the system, trigger a double free error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
