Vesuvius, the UK molten metal flow engineering company, reported it was dealing with a cyber incident that has “involved unauthorised access to our systems.”
Following the incident the company shut down the affected systems and launched an investigation into the attack.
Vesuvius did not provide any details regarding the nature of the incident, or whether any data was stolen.
The company said it is working to determine the extent of the issue, including the impact on production and contract fulfilment.
“We are taking steps to comply with all relevant regulatory obligations in light of the information that emerges from our ongoing investigations. A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate,” the company said.
