Liridon Masurica, a 33-year-old citizen of Kosovo, has been extradited to the United Statea in connection with his alleged role in operating a notorious online criminal marketplace. Masurica, also known by the alias ‘@blackdb,’ faces federal charges including conspiracy to commit access device fraud and five counts of fraudulent use of 15 or more unauthorized access devices.
Masurica was taken into custody by Kosovar authorities on December 12, 2024, and was extradited to the United States on May 9, 2025, under the extradition treaty between the United States and the Republic of Kosovo. Currently, he is detained pending trial.
According to the indictment, Masurica served as the lead administrator of BlackDB.cc, a criminal marketplace that operated from 2018 until recently. The site allegedly trafficked in stolen data, including compromised server credentials, credit card numbers, and personally identifiable information (PII) of individuals, many of whom were located in the United States.
Authorities claim that information purchased from the site was used by cybercriminals to carry out a variety of illegal activities such as identity theft, tax fraud, and credit card fraud.
During Masurica's arrest in December, law enforcement in Kosovo carried out coordinated raids in the cities of Pristina and Gjilan. In addition to arresting three individuals, police seized large quantities of evidence, including cryptocurrencies, mobile phones, laptops, computers, storage devices, and computer cases.
If convicted on all counts, Masurica faces up to 55 years in federal prison.
