Google addresses eighth Chrome zero-day of the year

Google has released a security update to fix yet another actively exploited Chrome zero-day vulnerability, marking the eighth such flaw patched since the beginning of the year.

In a security advisory, the company confirmed it is “aware that an exploit for 466192044 exists in the wild.” Google withheld technical details, including the CVE identifier, saying coordination is still underway.

“Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix,” the advisory noted.

The bug has been fixed for users in the Stable Desktop channel, with updated versions now rolling out worldwide: Windows (143.0.7499.109), macOS (143.0.7499.110), and Linux (143.0.7499.109).
