Dutch police have arrested a 24-year-old man from Amsterdam who is suspected of being involved with the hacker group known as ShinyHunters.
The man was apprehended on September 15. Police found a large amount of information on his laptop, including details about two planned murders abroad. Police suspect he may have ordered the killings. This part of the investigation is separate from the ShinyHunters case.
Police seized several data carriers, which are now being examined. More arrests have not been ruled out.
Authorities have not released the man's name or other details about the case.
Earlier this month, security researchers reported that ShinyHunters used a URL-encoding technique to bypass web application firewalls and exploit a critical Oracle PeopleSoft vulnerability, known as CVE-2026-35273.
