Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when the "mangling method = hash" option is enabled in smb.conf. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
