Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to untrusted search path in lamdaemon.pl. A local user can gain elevated privileges via a modified PATH that points to a malicious rm program.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
