1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2007-6716)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the direct_io_worker() and __blockdev_direct_IO() functions in fs/direct-io.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
