The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition within the m_start() function in fs/proc/task_nommu.c, within the m_start() function in fs/proc/task_mmu.c, within the check_mem_permission() and mm_for_maps() functions in fs/proc/base.c. A local user can gain access to sensitive information.
