Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4431)
CWE-ID: CWE-22 - Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P/U:Clear
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in main.php in Merethis Centreon before 2.3.2. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via a . (dot dot) in the command_name parameter.
2) Cryptographic issues (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4432)
CWE-ID: CWE-310 - Cryptographic Issues
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
www/include/configuration/nconfigObject/contact/DB-Func.php in Merethis Centreon before 2.3.2 does not use a salt during calculation of a password hash, which makes it easier for context-dependent attackers to determine cleartext passwords via a rainbow-table approach.
