Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-3905)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
libxml2, as used in Google Chrome before 16.0.912.63, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via unspecified vectors.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-3919)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Heap-based buffer overflow in libxml2, as used in Google Chrome before 16.0.912.75,. A remote attacker can use unknown vectors. to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
