Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-1021)

Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.

The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error in admin/categories.php in 4images 1.7.10 when processing cat_parent_id parameter in an addcat action. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-1022)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the cat_parent_id parameter in an addcat action. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-1023)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

Open redirect vulnerability in admin/index.php in 4images 1.7.10 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via a URL in the redirect parameter.
