A remote attacker can create specially crafted Web site serving malicious Flash (SWF) content, trick the victim into visiting it, bypass the sandbox restrictions and execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox with privileges of the current user.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in arbitrary code execution on the vulnerable system.
Note: the vulnerability was being actively exploited.
3) Arbitrary code execution (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-0648)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The weakness exists due to an error in the ExternalInterface ActionScript feature. A remote attacker can create specially crafted Web site serving malicious Flash (SWF) content, trick the victim into visiting it and execute arbitrary code with privileges of the current user.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in arbitrary code execution on the vulnerable system.
