Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The weakness exists due to boundary error when handling malicious .pdf files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with privileges of the current user.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in arbitrary code execution on the vulnerable system.

Mitigation

Update Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.x  to version 9.5.5.
Update Adobe Reader and Acrobat 10. x to version 10.1.7.
Update Adobe Reader and Acrobat 11.x to version 11.0.03
