Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4370)
CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing unspecified vectors that trigger a (1) use-after-free or (2) double free. A local users can cause a denial of service (heap corruption and crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4356)
CWE-ID: CWE-264 - Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
Xen 4.3.x writes hypervisor mappings to certain shadow pagetables when live migration is performed on hosts with more than 5TB of RAM, which allows local 64-bit PV guests to read or write to invalid memory and cause a denial of service (crash).
