Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-Site Scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-6294)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability is caused by incorrect filtration of input data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim’s browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Security bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-6292)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass security restriction on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the failure to properly check access rights. A remote attacker can gain access to the system and modify or delete another user's records.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
3) SQL Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-6293)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands in vulnerable application.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to vulnerable website and execute arbitrary SQL commands in web application database.
Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to the vulnerable system.
