Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-2326)

Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.

The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error in cdef.php in Cacti 0.8.7g, 0.8.8b, and earlier. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-2327)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.

3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-2328)

The vulnerability allows a remote #AU# to read and manipulate data.

lib/graph_export.php in Cacti 0.8.7g, 0.8.8b, and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in unspecified vectors. Per: https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/77.html "CWE-77: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')"

4) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-2708)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the (1) graph_start, (2) graph_end, (3) graph_height, (4) graph_width, (5) graph_nolegend, (6) print_source, (7) local_graph_id, or (8) rra_id parameter. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

5) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-2709)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

lib/rrd.php in Cacti 0.8.7g, 0.8.8b, and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in unspecified parameters. Per: https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/77.html "CWE-77: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')"
