The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition within the snd_card_new() function in sound/core/init.c, within the snd_ctl_elem_unlock(), snd_ctl_elem_user_get(), snd_ctl_elem_user_put(), snd_ctl_elem_user_tlv() and snd_ctl_elem_add() functions in sound/core/control.c. A local user can gain access to sensitive information.
