DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of symbolic links within the PEAR_REST class in REST.php in PEAR. A local user can create a specially crafted symlink and write arbitrary files into /tmp/pear/cache/directory.
