Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-5505)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing a crafted data source string in an RPT file. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-5506)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
Double free vulnerability in SAP Crystal Reports allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted connection string record in an RPT file. <a href="http://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/415.html" target="_blank">CWE-415: Double Free</a>
