Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to the xglance-bin application from HP Operations Agent loads libraries in an insecure manner. A local user can place a specially crafted library into one of the "lib64" folder on the system and execute arbitrary code with root privileges, as the xglance-bin is a SetUID program.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
