Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-7850)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.
The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error in the Web UI in FreeIPA 4.x before 4.1.2. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-7828)
The vulnerability allows a remote #AU# to manipulate data.
FreeIPA 4.0.x before 4.0.5 and 4.1.x before 4.1.1, when 2FA is enabled, allows remote attackers to bypass the password requirement of the two-factor authentication leveraging an enabled OTP token, which triggers an anonymous bind.
