Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-6734)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform Cross-site scripting attacks.
An input validation error exists in contrib/cssgen.php in the GeSHi, as used in the SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi extension and MediaWiki before 1.23.10, 1.24.x before 1.24.3, and 1.25.x before 1.25.2,. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-6733)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
GeSHi, as used in the SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi extension and MediaWiki before 1.23.10, 1.24.x before 1.24.3, and 1.25.x before 1.25.2, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption) via unspecified vectors.
3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-6730)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform Cross-site scripting attacks.
An input validation error exists in thumb.php in MediaWiki before 1.23.10, 1.24.x before 1.24.3, and 1.25.x before 1.25.2 when processing f parameter, which is not properly handled in an error page, related to . A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-6729)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.
The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error in thumb.php in MediaWiki before 1.23.10, 1.24.x before 1.24.3, and 1.25.x before 1.25.2 when processing rel404 parameter, which is not properly handled in an error page.
5) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-6728)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
