Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the gst_date_time_new_from_iso8601_string() function in gst/gstdatetime.c. A remote attacker can pass a malformed datetime string to the application, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.
