Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-7477)
The vulnerability allows remote attackers to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service (invalid memory access and crash) via a crafted mp3 file.
2) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-7499)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to divide-by-zero error within The sbr_make_f_master function in aacsbr.c in Libav 11.7. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted mp3 file.
