Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Arbitrary file download (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-3843)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to download system files.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing HTTP requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and download arbitrary system files.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker access potentially sensitive information.


2) Directory listing (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-3844)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to list and download system files.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance when processing HTTP requests.A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially rcfated HTTP request and view list of files in directories.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker access potentially sensitive information.



3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-3845)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
