Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-6501)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in ImageMagick 6.9.7. A specially crafted xcf file could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-6502)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
An issue was discovered in ImageMagick 6.9.7. A specially crafted webp file could lead to a file-descriptor leak in libmagickcore (thus, a DoS).
