1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-10209)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in archive_string.c in libarchive allows remote attackers to trigger NULL pointer dereference and application crash via a specially crafted archive file.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-5601)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

An error in the lha_read_file_header_1() function (archive_read_support_format_lha.c) in libarchive 3.2.2 allows remote attackers to trigger an out-of-bounds read memory access and subsequently cause a crash via a specially crafted archive.
