Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9208)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in releaseResolved functions due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted PDF document, trigger stack consumption and cause the service to crash, aka qpdf-infiniteloop1.
2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9209)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in QPDFObjectHandle::parseInternal due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted PDF document, trigger stack consumption and cause the service to crash, aka qpdf-infiniteloop2.
3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9210)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists in unparse functions due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted PDF document, trigger stack consumption and cause the service to crash, aka qpdf-infiniteloop3.
