Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 security vulnerability.
1) Denial of service (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-10371)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.The weakness exists due to invalid read error in the _TIFFVGetField() function in 'tif_dir.c'. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted TIFF file that, when processed by the target application using LibTIFF, will trigger out-of bounds read and cause the target application to crash.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.
