Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The weakness exists due to flaw in the CClient::ProcessServerPacket method in engine/client/client.cpp. A remote attacker can use specially crafted vectors involving snap handling to write to arbitrary physical memory locations and possibly execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in full access to the affected system.

Mitigation

Update to version 0.6.4.
