Description

The vulnerability allows a local authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on a targeted system.

The weakness exists due to improper security restrictions imposed by the service startup script of the affected software. A local attacker can execute arbitrary commands and gain root-privileged access to the Mac OSX system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in full control over the system.

Mitigation

Update to version 4.5.
