The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in libavcodec/scpr.c in FFmpeg 3.3 before 3.3.1 does not properly validate height and width data, which. A remote attacker can use a crafted file. to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
