CVSSv3.1: 3.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2017-9526
CWE-ID:
CWE-310 - Cryptographic Issues
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists in libgcrypt's EdDSA implementation. An attacker who learns the EdDSA session key (from side-channel observation during the signing process) can easily recover the long-term secret key.
Update the affected packages.
