Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-4924)

The vulnerability allows an adjacent attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The weakness exists due to out-of-bounds write in SVGA driver. An adjacent attacker can send specially crafted content and execute arbitrary code on the host system.

2) Null pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-4925)

The vulnerability allows an adjacent attacker to cause DoS condition on the host system.

The weakness exists due to NULL pointer dereference when handling malicious content. An adjacent attacker can send specially crafted RPC requests and cause the applications to crash.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.

3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-4926)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
