Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash the affected messaging client.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when processing Date/time conversion specifiers in logger.c file (logger plugin) during log file creation. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted message and crash the affected client.

Mitigation

Update to version 1.9.1.
