Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) OS command injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-16641)

The vulnerability allows a remote high-privileged attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in lib/rrd.php. A remote attacker can place the Log Path under the web root, make a specially crafted specially crafted action=save request containing the 'path_rrdtool' parameter to settings.php and execute arbitrary shell commands with elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.


2) Remote code execution (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-16660)

The vulnerability allows a remote high-privileged attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in the Client-ip header in remote_agent.php. A remote attacker can place the Log Path under the web root, make a specially crafted remote_agent.php request containing PHP code in a Client-ip header and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.


3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-16661)

The vulnerability allows a remote high-privileged attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of user-supplied requests. A remote attacker can place the Log Path into a private directory, make a specially crafted clog.php?filename= request and read /etc/passwd.


4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-16785)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data via the PATH_INFO to host.php.. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
