Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Server-side request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12343)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to perform SSRF attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient server-side validation of user-supplied data in HTTP payloads. A remote attacker can send specially crafted HTTP payloads, bypass server-side protections and inject arbitrary values into DCNM configuration parameters.
2) Open redirect (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12344)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to redirect the target user to external websites.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation of values in HTTP header parameters. A remote attacker can trick the victim into clicking a malicious link, inject malicious HTTP headers into HTTP messages and redirect a user to a malicious, attacker-controlled website.
3) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12345)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation of user-supplied values in HTTP parameters. A remote attacker can trick the victim into clicking a malicious link, inject malicious HTTP parameter values into HTTP messages and inject malicious content into the content that is displayed by the web interface.
4) Stored XSS (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12346)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
5) Reflected cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12347)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
