Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-0789)
Vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to perform XSS attacks.
The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error of a specially crafted web request to an affected SharePoint server. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Memory corruption (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-0792)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing Microsoft Word documents. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted Word document, trick the victim into opening it and execute arbitrary code on the target system with privileges of the current user.
3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-0799)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.
The vulnerability exists in Microsoft Access due to improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
