The vulnerability allows a local authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.
The weakness exists due to an out-of-bounds memory access flaw. A local attacker can persuade a victim to install a malicious application and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
2) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17250)

The vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause the DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists due to out-of-bounds write flaw. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted OSPF message and cause the system to crash.
