Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0915)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitatry code on the target system.
The weakness exists due to improper input validation. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0916)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The weakness exists in the system_hook_push queue due to improper input validation. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0917)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The weakness exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0918)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to conduct path traversal attack on the target system.The weakness exists in the GitLab CI runner component due to path traversal. A remote attacker can read and poison other project caches.
5) Insufficiently protected credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0925)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.The weakness exists in the project service integration API endpoint due to insufficiently protected credentials. A remote attacker can gain access to potentially sensitive information.
6) Improper authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-0926)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authorization on the target system.The weakness exists in the Oauth sign-in component due to improper authorization. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted request and bypass authorization.
7) Insecure temporary file (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-3710)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.The weakness exists in the project import component due to insecure temporary file. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code.
