EUVDB-ID: #VU13606
Risk: Low
CVSSv3.1: 4.7 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2018-1542
CWE-ID:
CWE-611 - Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference ('XXE')
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe disclosed vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to perform XXE attack.
The weakness exists due to an error when processing malicious XML data. A remote attacker can supply specially crafted XML External Entity (XXE) data to the target Administration Console for Content Platform Engine (ACCE) interface component to read files with elevated privileges or consume excessive memory and cause the service to crash.
MitigationThe vulnerability is addressed in the versions 5.2.1.7, 5.5.1.
IBM Content Foundation: 5.2.1 - 5.5.0
IBM FileNet Content Manager: 5.2.1 - 5.5.0

Risk: Low
CVSSv3.1: 5.3 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2018-1555
CWE-ID:
CWE-79 - Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
MitigationInstall update from vendor's website.
