This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Authentication bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-8019)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass OCSP checks.

The vulnerability exists in the OCSP responder implementation in Apache Tomcat APR/native Connector that does not properly identify clients with revoked certificates. A remote attacker can bypass  authentication and successfully authenticate with a revoked certificate when using mutual TLS.



2) Authentication bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-8020)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass OCSP checks.

The vulnerability exists in the OCSP responder implementation in Apache Tomcat APR/native Connector that does not properly check OCSP pre-produced responses. A remote attacker can bypass  authentication and successfully authenticate with a revoked certificate when using mutual TLS.
