Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-10636)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to lacking user input validation before copying data from project files onto the stack. A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply specially crafted data, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-10598)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to lack of user input validation for processing project files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply specially crafted data, trigger out-of-bounds read and cause the service to crash.
