Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to elevate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU) functionality for Mac when handling updates. A local user can place a specially crafted binary in the location used by the update application and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges.

Install updates from vendor's website.
