Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer over-read (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-8422)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing untrusted data within the Windows GDI component. A remote attacker can create a specially specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and obtain contents of memory on the system.
