Security Bulletin

This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) Memory corruption

EUVDB-ID: #VU15331

Risk: Low

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: N/A

CWE-ID: CWE-119 - Memory corruption

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to boundary error when executing the provided test script, after encountering second file. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and cause the application to crash.

Mitigation

The vulnerability has been addressed in the versions 7.1.23, 7.2.11.

Vulnerable software versions

PHP: 7.1.0 - 7.2.10

Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?

Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the Internet.

Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?

No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.

2) Segmentation fault

EUVDB-ID: #VU15332

Risk: Low

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: N/A

CWE-ID: CWE-264 - Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to segfault during compile-time evaluation of disabled function in opcache (SCCP). A remote attacker can trigger segmentation fault and cause the application to crash.

Mitigation

Update to version 7.2.11.
