Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Untruster pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17893)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to untrusted pointer dereference. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger untrusted pointer dereference and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17895)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds read. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger out-of-bounds read and cause the service to crash.
3) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17897)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17899)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to conduct directory traversal on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to path traversal. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick the victim into visiting a specially crafted website, conduct directory traversal attack and execute arbitrary code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17901)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds write when processing project files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted input, perform write operations on a stack object and execute code under the current process.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-17911)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to stack-based buffer overflow. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
