Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in the format_cb_pane_tabs function, as defined in the format.csource code file. A local attacker can access a targeted system, execute an application that submits malicious input, trigger a NULL pointer dereference condition and cause the application to crash.
