DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker with system administrator privileges to conduct XXE-attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of XML External Entities (XXEs) when parsing of atlassian plugin xml files in an uploaded JAR. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted input to read files, make network requests and perform a denial of service attack.
MitigationThe vulnerability has been fixed in the versions 2.22.14, 3.0.0.
